There are not many situations I don’t have my camera with me. I am an passionated Photographer. Capturing moments with this amazing tool keeps me reminding on what really counts in life: the happiness of my loving family and friends, memories of unchanging quality, the most beautiful places I have ever seen, learning from different people, cultures and religions from all over the world and their lifestyles, our unique but also fragile environment, facing new challenges, ...

...and what I shoot the most - my own Wildlife, Nature & Travel Adventures.

Pictures allow me to show the viewer the world from my perspective. Pictures can also help signifying an opinion and to declare one’s belief. When I watched my first Wildlife and Nature documentaries as a kid, I was always so impressed and amazed by seeing the most spectacular species in their environment on screen that I guess it was the time I already realised how my future career should look like. I wanted to make my passion to my profession.

Next to taking pictures I have started to film my adventures. Movies can provide the audience with important facts and informations. Movies can bring us through tough times and make us happy, make us smile. Movies can entertain, educate and inspire us to do something good.

And this is what I would like to reach with my work. Inspiration, Education and Appreciation for many things we take for granted. And btw, it is allowed to have fun while learning or being educated at any time. This is one of the secret ingredients to be successful and happy in your own life. Ever since I can remember I grow up with animals. Our family had dogs, cats, birds, rodents and fish. My mother showed me how to fed and care for birds and hedgehogs, when they got into trouble and would not survive without any help. My dad taught me how to fish and my brothers double-checked on me when we went swimming and snorkeling together. Our family was always related to the Outdoor life.

After school and my cultural exchange as an AuPair in the US, I absolved an education to become an Animal Care Attendant. I worked in aquariums with diverse native and tropical sea dwellers such as fish, sharks, rays, seals and sea lions. Thanks to additional traineeships I earned extensive knowledge about big cats, hippos, zebras, elephants, wolves, bears and more. As biologist I studied the effects of ocean acidification on native coral species.

I am so thirsty for knowledge that I can’t stop learning. Learning from nature, learning from other human beings who love & live their passion as much as I do and trying to communicate with Nature and Wildlife species to get a better understanding.

Once earned that knowledge I will never want to miss it again but it is also an undeniable fact that most of captive animals suffer. I wanted to become an Animal Care Attendant to be able to work in Conservation areas and Wildlife reserves to help animals and to call attention for their welfare. I won't support circuses and parks based on violence against animals for human beings amusement. Unfortunately I have already seen too many bad examples.

Being specialised on diverse animal species and being able to share my knowlegde and experiences with you is a matter of my heart. Educational work is more essential as it was ever before.

- Animal Care Attendant and Biologist, specialized on Marine Biology, Mammals & Ornithology, Ecology & Ethology -

I worked as a Biological Consultant for diverse Renewable Energy building projects such as international high-voltage transmission lines and wind power stations. I was responsible for the paper work for public authorities and for field work to affirm that the construction companies follow the governmental guidelines (EU) in terms of Species Protection and Environmental Conservation.

Mainly I have monitored seals, breeding birds and bats via population controls, photographs, mapping and geographic information systems. I was in charge on- and offshore and for aerial survey observations in the National Park Wadden Sea. First aid, Fire protection assistence, Lifeguard, Maritime and Health certificates as well as fitness trainings such as BOSIET Offshore Training are given or can be updated quickly when neccessary.

As graduated marine biologist, scientific diver and animal expert I have earned diverse experiences in collecting and analysing data, interpreting scientific papers and jounalistic investigations as well as being responsible for public relations and educational work to assist as Volunteer & Supporter.

Because of my never-ending intention to make a difference in the world by showing you the beauty but also fragilty of our unique environment, it is of high relevance that I support these projects as an active participant to raise awareness.

In my early career as an Animal Care Attendant I wrote articles for a local newspaper and TV Magazine and prepared the informations boards about the sea dwellers in the aquariums. As a student I have organised different international exhibitions for instance about invasive species and for the WIDECAST organisation Costa Rica to protect sea turtles.

As a passionated environmentalist I have also given educational talks and presentations in German and English for registered associations. When it comes to educational work my heart beats fast anyway. When kids and adults of all ages are amazed by learning something about animals, nature and our environment – that is music to my ears! In addition I worked as a professional tour guide and I must say it has been one of the the best jobs in the world so far! As I have mentioned before, educational work is so important and neccessary to spread the word globally.

- Educational work, Ambassador and Presenter for Awareness, Environmental & Species Protection programmes -

Being able to work with research institutions, universities and underwater scientists from different research fields such as marine biology, archaeology, geology and geoscience, I became an approved Scientific Diver. So far, I documented the conditions of newly developed measurement devices made for deep sea research via photographs and videos. Furthermore, I have earned specified experiences in Search & Recovery, Rescue Operations and Underwater Mapping of Marine Life.

To connect the scientific knowledge with the tourism sector I climbed up the levels being an equivalent Rescue Diver right up to a PADI Dive Instructor. In addition, I am qualified to teach the PADI Specialties Underwater Navigator, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, Night Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Emergency First Response and Emergency Oxygen Provider.
